Indian Caves
Deep within the cliffs, at the Kura Hulanda Lodge & Beach Club is an indigenous,pre-historic, collection of grottos, commonly referred to as the “Indian Cave,” a hidden cavern that offers guests the opportunity to explore a variety of mysterious and magnificent rock art. The first human inhabitants of Curacao, the Arawak-Taino Indians, are said to have used these caves as their first shelter and provides a glimpse into Curacao’s vanished past. In addition, the caves contain spring waters, which according to legend have healing powers and were used as a cure for many illnesses by the Indians.
